Her talk mainly consisted of healthwashing McDonald’s latest effort — the McWrap.
This interview with the Salt Lake Tribune is rampant with distracting nutritionism (“8 grams of whole grain in hamburger buns”, “egg white McMuffins”, “fat-free chocolate milk”) and repeats tried-and-true food industry talking points (“If you eat too much of any one thing it’s not going to be healthy”).
It’s disturbing — and a true shame — that McDonald’s is repeatedly given a platform by AND to essentially advertise its products to dietitians.
